Whoops! Those anonymous Internet threats came from a pimply keyboard kommando up the block

"The long-standing, heavily documented militarization of even small-town American police forces was always going to create problems when it met anonymous Internet threats. And so it has, again—this time in Evansville, Indiana, where officers acted on some Topix postings threatening violence against local police. They then sent an entire SWAT unit to execute a search warrant on a local house, one in which the front door was open and an 18-year old woman sat inside watching TV.

The cops brought along TV cameras, inviting a local reporter to film the glorious operation. In the resulting video, you can watch the SWAT team, decked out in black bulletproof vests and helmets and carrying window and door smashers, creep slowly up to the house. At some point, they apparently "knock" and announce their presence—though not with the goal of getting anyone to come to the door. As the local police chief admitted later to the Evansville Courier & Press, the process is really just “designed to distract." (SWAT does not need to wait for a response.)

Officers break the screen door and a window, tossing a flashbang into the house—which you can see explode in the video. A second flashbang gets tossed in for good measure a moment later. SWAT enters the house.

On the news that night, the reporter ends his piece by talking about how this is "an investigation that hits home for many of these brave officers."

But the family in the home was released without any charges as police realized their mistake. Turns out the home had an open WiFi router, and the threats had been made by someone outside the house. Whoops.

So the cops did some more investigation and decided that the threats had come from a house on the same street. This time, apparently recognizing they had gone a little nuts on the first raid, the police department didn't send a SWAT team at all. Despite believing that they now had the right location and that a threat-making bomber lurked within, they just sent officers up to the door.

"We did surveillance on the house, we knew that there were little kids there, so we decided we weren't going to use the SWAT team," the police chief told the paper after the second raid. "We did have one officer with a ram to hit the door in case they refused to open the door. That didn't happen, so we didn't need to use it."

Mutated pests are quickly adapting to biotech crops in unpredicted and disturbing ways

"Genetically modified crops are often designed to repel hungry insects. By having toxins built into the plant itself, farmers can reduce their use of environmentally unfriendly insecticide sprays. But as any first-year evolutionary biology student can tell you, insects are like the Borg in Star Trek: they quickly adapt. And this is precisely what is happening – but in ways that have startled the researchers themselves.

The discovery is a wakeup call to geneticists because it has highlighted the importance of having to closely monitor and counter pest resistance to biotech crops. The development also raises the question of the potential futility of having to change the genetic structure of crops in perpetuity; given that insects are constantly evolving, to what degree will geneticists have to go to ensure crop immunity to pests? And what does that say to the ongoing safety of such crops as far as human consumption is concerned?

Case in point are cotton bollworms. To deal with these pests, genetic scientists have developed an insect-killing cotton plant that produces toxins derived from the Bt bacterium (geneticists say that these toxins are harmless to most other creatures, including humans). But the bollworms are developing a resistance. Scientists have observed that a rare genetic mutation in bollworms makes them immune to Bt – and that the mutation isn't so rare any more."

"There are a lot of cool things you can do with $1,000, but scientists at an Austin, Texas college have come across one that is often overlooked: for less than a grand, how’d you like to hijack a US government drone?

A group of researchers led by Professor Todd Humphreys from the University of Texas at Austin Radionavigation Laboratory recently succeeded in raising the eyebrows of the US government. With just around $1,000 in parts, Humphreys’ team took control of an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by the US Department of Homeland Security.

After being challenged by his lab, the DHS dared Humphreys’ crew to hack into their drone and take command. Much to their chagrin, they did exactly that.

Humphrey tells Fox News that for a few hundreds dollar his team was able to “spoof” the GPS system on board the DHS drone, a technique that involves mimicking the actual signals sent to the global positioning device and then eventually tricking the target into following a new set of commands. And, for just $1,000, Humphreys says the spoofer his team assembled was the most advanced one ever built.

“Spoofing a GPS receiver on a UAV is just another way of hijacking a plane,” Humphreys tells Fox. The real danger here, however, is that the government is currently considering plans that will allow local law enforcement agencies and other organizations from coast-to-coast to control drones of their own in America’s airspace.

“In five or ten years you have 30,000 drones in the airspace,” he tells Fox News. “Each one of these could be a potential missile used against us.”

"Today's military lasers can blind spy satellites or burn enemy vehicles, but tomorrow's could guide lightning bolts to strike and destroy battlefield targets.

A U.S. Army lab is testing how lasers can create an energized plasma channel in the air — an invisible pathway for electricity to follow. The laser-guided lightning weapon could precisely hit targets such as enemy tanks or unexploded roadside bombs, because such targets represent better conductors for electricity than the ground.

"We never got tired of the lightning bolts zapping our simulated (targets)," said George Fischer, lead scientist on the project at the U.S. Army's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

The weapon idea mimics the way that lightning leaps from thunderclouds to strike the ground — the electricity follows the path of least resistance, Fischer explained.

Army researchers used an "ultra-short-pulse laser of modest energy" that keeps the laser beam focused through its own intensity. The laser's electro-magnetic field can harvest electrons from air molecules to create the plasma pathway for electricity to follow.

"During the duration of the laser pulse, it can be putting out more power than a large city needs, but the pulse only lasts for two-trillionths of a second," Fischer said."

Hollywoods’s New Hostage Thriller Glamorizes The Cia In Iran

"Earlier this year, I was in Tehran for a conference on Hollywood’s power and impact. It was called “Hollywoodism,” featuring many scholars and critics of the values and political ideologies featured in many major movies with a focus on the way Israel (a.k.a., “the Zionists”) are continually portrayed as if they do no wrong.

What we didn’t know then while we were debating these issues was that some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were at that very moment making a movie that will certainly be perceived as hostile to Iran, if not part of the undeclared war that Israel and the United States are waging with crippling economic sanctions and malicious cyber viruses.

"Iranian media outlets reported on Tuesday that Iran, Russia, China and Syria are to conduct joint military exercises in Syria next month.

The semi-official Fars News outlet, which has ties to the Iranian government, cited "certain unofficial sources" in its report but did not say what those sources were.

The report appears to have originated on Arabic language Syrian media outlet ShamLife, which said the war-games were scheduled in less than a month's time.

Other Iranian media outlets, including the Revolutionary Guards-linked Mashregh News and Mehr News, which is owned by the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, also carried the same report on Tuesday, but did not cite any Iranian official sources confirming it.

Fars admitted that there has as yet been no official announcement confirming the war-games, but cited an unnamed Syrian official had declared that a joint exercise between those four countries would be carried out "soon".

Preparations for those exercises would be carried out in the next few days, Fars quoted "informed sources" as saying, adding that the exercises would involve ground troops, air forces and naval forces.

Meanwhile, the ShamLife report said "sources" had confirmed previous leaks about the wargames, and that preparations for the military exercise were being carried out at an "accelerated pace".

According to ShamLife, China had gained Egyptian approval to allow 12 Chinese ships carrying military equipment to pass through the Suez Canal, and that these vessels would reach the Syrian ports of Tartous and Latakia in two weeks' time.

ShamLife said Syrian air defense missiles and its coastal defense would be put to the test in the military exercises, and that 90,000 troops from the four countries would be involved in the war games along with 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks and "hundreds of rockets."

I've been a weapons aficionado since forever. One of the best things my father did for me at an early age was to teach me all about shooting. My grandfather had a country home up in the Catskills in New York that we'd visit and stay in when we could, and invariably my dad would bring along some guns. Usually they were a scoped bolt action .22, a .45 caliber percussion muzzleloader and a gas powered pellet pistol. I'm proud to say I was quite the marksman as a young fart, learning gun discipline, safety and techniques that I never forgot all my life.

My first purchase was a Winchester 30.06 for deer season in upstate NY. Still have it, paid $150 for it at the time, got into handloading special rounds, worth around $600 now and it's still a 200 yard tackdriver. My second weapon was bought in Ketchikan for mucking around backcountry in Alaska, a .357 Smith and Wesson. After that the dam cut loose and I've gone through oh I don't know, fifty or sixty guns.
(I'd like to throw in the tidbit that all things shooting are extremely good investments, even after price jumps the last few years. It's a certainty that if you bought a gun some time ago ago it's worth more now, sometimes quite a bit more. Twenty years ago importers were bringing in lots of semi auto SKS rifles. You could have easily bought one new with all the extras for $100. Now they trade for $300 to $700. A dozen years ago you could have picked up a 1000 round crate of ammo to feed it for $75. Same exact stuff is $275 today. A Cabelas Blue Ridge flintlock rifle was $375 ten years ago and the regular price now is $750, double what it used to be. You get the picture)

In the early nineties My wife and I took a class and got our permits to carry up in Oregon. Still carry all the time after retiring down here in the Great Southwest. Now I'm a bigger kind of guy and I've always had a predilection for full sized, powerful service handguns because the weight never bothered me at all. Always felt comfortable with cold, hard steel on my hip. Everybody's got their predilections. Over the years there are also three things I've avoided like the plague - polymer, striker firing mechanisms and DAO (double action only) pistols which means you're not ever going to see a Glock in my gun case. I do love exposed hammer, SAO (single action only) pistols although I haven't gotten into 1911s because I'm no big fan of .45 ACP. That may change, but what really changed is my attitude towards "pocket pistols".

In the last couple of years the popularity of small, ultra lightweight semi autos has positively skyrocketed. This is due to several things. More and more states loosened restrictions on concealed carry. More women these days are shooters and gravitate toward lightweight portability. And the technology in gun and ammunition manufacture has truly been outstanding.
Years ago I had a neighbor who carried around a little .380 in his pants pocket. Now .380 is widely considered to be the least powerful caliber to use as a defensive weapon, and you don't want to downsize below it, so this .357, .40 and .44 magnum caliber toting macho man inwardly smiled. I don't smirk anymore.

Like I mentioned, the market for this type of personal protection has literally exploded and the days of cheap, unreliable little "saturday night specials" are long, long gone. The .380 has blossomed into a much more viable choice with far better ballistics and baby, you gots a shitload of choices as far as weaponry. My next purchase will probably be a sleek little pocket rocket. I've looked into them and could rattle off a whole bunch, but I'll just mention the one currently at the top of my list - the Colt .380 Mustang Pocketlite.


Colt used to make these years ago but discontinued them. They brought them back when popularity of this type of platform soared and their older model was trading for super premium prices. It's got everything I like - exposed hammer, SAO and gosh darn a new caliber that I've never owned and tested. It's quite small and very lightweight at only 12.5 ounces unloaded. I do like guns, I'll admit. I like to shoot and reload my own cartridges, like the history and gunsmithing, and by gum I put about half a ton of good meat in the freezer over the years. We're entering into uncharted territory in this insane society and I was fortunate enough to get into self defense a while back and get proficient with quite an arsenal. If anybody reading this hasn't done so yet I would highly suggest acquiring a weapon and learning how to use it.

DHS claims terrorists want to attack theaters and similar venues based on 'no specific or credible information'

"Another day, another fear mongering report from the megalithic Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and this time it is almost more absurd than the previous laughable reports, if you can believe it.

While this isn’t as insane as the bulletins which actually stated that many common bodily movements and behaviors are indicators of terrorism, it is close.

The report, which is designated “UNCLASSIFIED//FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY” (U//FOUO), originally published on May 17, 2012, cites a suicide bombing in Somalia in early April 2012 which targeted a theater as an indicator that the United States could experience similar attacks.

Note that U//FOUO means that some information “may be exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act” and is “to be controlled, stored, handled, transmitted, distributed, and disposed of in accordance with DHS policy relating to FOUO information and is not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need to know without prior approval of an authorized DHS official.”

Thankfully, the document was leaked through Public Intelligence and can be read here. Once again I must commend Public Intelligence for their admirable and invaluable work in bringing these types of documents to light.

The report cites an alleged “violent extremist communication advocating attacks on US theaters” which supposedly indicates “terrorists’ continued interest in attacking such venues.”

Of course, no such incident has ever occurred in the United States and personally I find it highly unlikely that it will ever occur since every recent alleged terrorist plot has been wholly manufactured by none other than the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or similar agencies."

The Report defines its purpose in rather nondescript terms: “The Rockefeller Foundation and GBN began the scenario process by surfacing a host of driving forces that would affect the future of technology and international development. These forces were generated through both secondary research and in-depth interviews with Foundation staff, Foundation grantees, and external experts”.

Then, they go on to define “the matrix of four very different futures” in store for Mankind:

“(1) Lock-Step: a world of tighter top-down government control and more authoritarian leadership, with limited innovation and growing citizen pushback” (you can almost see them watering at the mouth over this one!).

“(2) Clever Together: A world in which highly coordinated and successful strategies emerge for addressing both urgent and entrenched worldwide issues” (definitely no sign whatsoever that today’s power brokers are doing anything even remotely leading to that!)

“(3) Hack Attack: An economically unstable and shock-prone world in which governments weaken, criminals thrive, and dangerous innovations emerge” (more slurpy Power Elite mouth watering with this one!), and,

“(4) Smart Scramble: An economically depressed world in which individuals and communities develop localized, makeshift solutions to a growing set of problems” (and where the powerless suffer and die, whilst the powerful go into high-tech-security ‘business as usual’ mode…)

When detailing Scenario 3 (Hack Attack), we find the following surprising “scenario building” in this Report: “Devastating shocks like September 11, the Southeast Asian tsunami of 2004, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake had certainly primed the world for sudden disasters. But no one was prepared for a world in which large-scale catastrophes would occur with such breathtaking frequency. The years 2010 to 2020 were dubbed the “doom decade” for good reason: the 2012 Olympic bombing which killed 13,000, was followed closely by an earthquake in Indonesia killing 40,000, a tsunami that almost wiped out Nicaragua, and the onset of the West China Famine, caused by a once-in-a-millennium drought linked to climate change.”

There are literally dozens of examples of corporate media outlets literally faking news. On a daily basis these news outlets ticker and alter real news, but in certain instances they have gone as far as to outright create it.

Once such infamous example is the CNN faked news broadcast during the Gulf War. Charles Jaco and the entire CNN crew on hand pretended they were in Saudi Arabia covering the Gulf War when in reality they were in a movie studio.

National Guard Trains To Kill You In South Dakota

"Tourists arrive in the Black Hills to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but the unique topography is also drawing military units from throughout the country and around the world for one of the largest National Guard training exercises in the United States.

Here for the Golden Coyote training exercise, military units are working to re-create the stress of combat and mixture of civilian, tourist and wildlife populations soldiers encounter in war theaters such as Iraq and Afghanistan, all while training with foreign soldiers.

Military units from six countries and 17 states — 2,200 soldiers overall — descended on the Black Hills for the two-week Golden Coyote exercise, now in its 28th year. The operation began June 9 and runs until June 23.

Other military bases don’t offer the sort of realism of nearby civilian populations, rough terrain and wildlife that the Black Hills does, according to those involved in the training.

“You’re always in a sterile environment. You’re in this large training environment, but you don’t have civilians,” said Lt. Col. Aaron Jordan, who was helping oversee the two-week exercise. “Here in South Dakota, you got people going about their lives.”

Other training exercises aren’t as large, either.

“This is probably the only National Guard exercise that allows such a large formation of National Guard soldiers to come together in a realistic environment,” Jordan said.

Each individual exercise plays into a wider, two-week scenario, in which terrorist forces are working out of Denver and Minneapolis, seeking to gain control of the region.

Individual exercises range from urban combat to forest and vehicle patrols and include firearms training, medical training and exercises to learn to react to improvised explosive devices.

On Wednesday, two units from Arizona and Missouri played out a scenario win which they patrolled in an enemy village, showing American strength. The soldiers slowly crept through grass and trees toward a ramshackle town, but as they approached the several buildings, combatants opened fire on them with paintball guns.

Paintballs whizzed past soldiers, splattering against the sides of corrugated tin buildings. Soldiers got hit, dropping to the ground to act like casualties as others stormed into the buildings. Soldiers "killed in action" laid in the streets, waiting to be dragged to cover. Yells for suppressing fire pierced the clack of shots fired. Squads advanced from building to building, taking cover behind each edifice.

By the time the paintballs began flying, the action unfolded quickly, and chaos ensued.

“We try to at least replicate the speed of combat. Combat happens very quickly, so things are going to be happening very quickly. They’re going to take casualties,” said Capt. Mitchell Nachtigall, who was overseeing the exercise."

"In a few days, perhaps as early as Friday, June 15, at noon, the Syrians wanting to watch their national TV stations will see them replaced on their screens by TV programs created by the CIA. Studio-shot images will show massacres that are blamed on the Syrian Government, people demonstrating, ministers and generals resigning from their posts, President Al-Assad fleeing, the rebels gathering in the big city centers, and a new government installing itself in the presidential palace.

This operation of disinformation, directly managed from Washington by Ben Rhodes, the US deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, aims at demoralizing the Syrians in order to pave the way for a coup d’etat. NATO, discontent about the double veto of Russia and China, will thus succeed in conquering Syria without attacking the country illegally. Whichever judgment you might have formed on the actual events in Syria, a coup d’etat will end all hopes of democratization.

The Arab League has officially asked the satellite operators Arabsat and Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, either public or private (Syria TV, Al-Ekbariya, Ad-Dounia, Cham TV, etc.) A precedent already exists because the Arab League had managed to censure Libyan TV in order to keep the leaders of the Jamahiriya from communicating with their people. They fabricated false information in advance, on the basis of a “story-telling” script devised by Ben Rhodes’s team at the White House. A procedure of reciprocal validation was installed, with each media quoting the lies of the other media to render them plausible for TV spectators. The participants also decided not only to requisition the TV channels of the CIA for Syria and Lebanon (Barada, Future TV, MTV, Orient News, Syria Chaab, Syria Alghad) but also about 40 religious Wahhabi TV channels to call for confessional massacres to the cry of “Christians to Beyrouth, Alawites into the grave!.”

The second meeting was held for engineers and technicians to fabricate fictitious images, mixing one part in an outdoor studio, the other part with computer generated images. During the past weeks, studios in Saudi Arabia have been set up to build replicas of the two presidential palaces in Syria and the main squares of Damascus, Aleppo and Homs. Studios of this type already exist in Doha (Qatar), but they are not sufficient.

The third meeting was held by General James B. Smith, the US ambassador, a representative of the UK, prince Bandar Bin Sultan (whom former U.S. president George Bush named his adopted son so that the U.S. press called him “Bandar Bush”). In this meeting the media actions were coordinated with those of the Free “Syrian” Army, in which prince Bandar’s mercenaries play a decisive role.

The operation had been in the making for several months, but the U.S. National Security Council decided to accelerate the action after the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, notified the White House that he would oppose by all means, even by force, any illegal NATO military intervention in Syria.

The operation has a double intent: the first is to spread false information, the second aims at censuring all possible responses."

I've been playing the same game of Civilization II for almost 10 years. This is the result

"I've been playing the same game of Civ II for 10 years. Though long outdated, I grew fascinated with this particular game because by the time Civ III was released, I was already well into the distant future. I then thought that it might be interesting to see just how far into the future I could get and see what the ramifications would be. Naturally I play other games and have a life, but I often return to this game when I'm not doing anything and carry on. The results are as follows.

The world is a hellish nightmare of suffering and devastation.

There are 3 remaining super nations in the year 3991 A.D, each competing for the scant resources left on the planet after dozens of nuclear wars have rendered vast swaths of the world uninhabitable wastelands.

-The ice caps have melted over 20 times (somehow) due primarily to the many nuclear wars. As a result, every inch of land in the world that isn't a mountain is inundated swamp land, useless to farming. Most of which is irradiated anyway.

-As a result, big cities are a thing of the distant past. Roughly 90% of the worlds population (at it's peak 2000 years ago) has died either from nuclear annihilation or famine caused by the global warming that has left absolutely zero arable land to farm. Engineers (late game worker units) are always busy continuously building roads so that new armies can reach the front lines. Roads that are destroyed the very next turn when the enemy goes. So there isn't any time to clear swamps or clean up the nuclear fallout.

-Only 3 super massive nations are left. The Celts (me), The Vikings, And the Americans. Between the three of us, we have conquered all the other nations that have ever existed and assimilated them into our respective empires.

-You've heard of the 100 year war? Try the 1700 year war. The three remaining nations have been locked in an eternal death struggle for almost 2000 years. Peace seems to be impossible. Every time a cease fire is signed, the Vikings will surprise attack me or the Americans the very next turn, often with nuclear weapons. Even when the U.N forces a peace treaty. So I can only assume that peace will come only when they're wiped out. It is this that perpetuates the war ad infinitum. Have any of you old Civ II players out there ever had this problem in the post-late game?

-Because of SDI, ICBMS are usually only used against armies outside of cities. Instead, cities are constantly attacked by spies who plant nuclear devices which then detonate (something I greatly miss from later civ games). Usually the down side to this is that every nation in the world declares war on you. But this is already the case so its no longer a deterrent to anyone. My self included.

-The only governments left are two theocracies and myself, a communist state. I wanted to stay a democracy, but the Senate would always over-rule me when I wanted to declare war before the Vikings did. This would delay my attack and render my turn and often my plans useless. And of course the Vikings would then break the cease fire like clockwork the very next turn. Something I also miss in later civ games is a little internal politics. Anyway, I was forced to do away with democracy roughly a thousand years ago because it was endangering my empire. But of course the people hate me now and every few years since then, there are massive guerrilla (late game barbarians) uprisings in the heart of my empire that I have to deal with which saps resources from the war effort.

-The military stalemate is air tight. The post-late game in civ II is perfectly balanced because all remaining nations already have all the technologies so there is no advantage. And there are so many units at once on the map that you could lose 20 tank units and not have your lines dented because you have a constant stream moving to the front. This also means that cities are not only tiny towns full of starving people, but that you can never improve the city. "So you want a granary so you can eat? Sorry; I have to build another tank instead. Maybe next time."

"The Taser, the non-lethal law enforcement weapon that is meant to incapacitate criminals without causing great harm, has killed at least 500 people last decade. The real number of casualties might be even higher.

In the period between 2001 and early 2012, the stun-gun Taser devices used by law enforcement across America have claimed the lives of 500 people.

Amnesty International, the worldwide advocacy group that condemns torture and human rights violations, delivered the news this week with a report released Wednesday. In it, they reveal that the recent death of a Georgia man who died as a result of a Taser blast puts the body count brought on by the device at 500 in barely a decades’ time.

Despite being branded as a non-lethal alternative to firearms, hundreds of Americans have died from Taser blasts.

On Monday this week, law enforcement responded to a call of a drunk and disorderly person in Houston County, Georgia. When they arrived at a bar, the man in question, 43 year old Johnnie Kamahi Warren, was already on the ground. He died moments later and now the officer who fired those shots is being investigated, all while on paid administrative leave."

"Police officers in Indiana are upset over a new law allowing residents to use deadly force against public servants, including law enforcement officers, who unlawfully enter their homes. It was signed by Republican Governor Mitch Daniels in March.

The first of its kind in the United States, the law was adopted after the state Supreme Court went too far in one of its rulings last year, according to supporters. The case in question involved a man who assaulted an officer during a domestic violence call. The court ruled that there was “no right to reasonably resist unlawful entry by police officers.”

The National Rifle Association lobbied for the new law, arguing that the court decision had legalized police to commit unjustified entries.

Tim Downs, president of the Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police, which opposed the legislation, said the law could open the way for people who are under the influence or emotionally distressed to attack officers in their homes.

“It’s just a recipe for disaster,” Downs told Bloomberg. “It just puts a bounty on our heads.”

US Defense Secretary Panetta threatens ground intervention into Pakistan

"Speaking in Kabul yesterday, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta threatened Pakistan with a ground intervention if it did not crush forces in Pakistan fighting US occupation troops in Afghanistan.

Panetta singled out the so-called Haqqani network, a militia in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region that mounts raids on US forces across the Afghan-Pakistani border. He said, "Haqqani safe havens still exist on the other side of the border. Pakistan has to take action [to stop] allowing terrorists in their country to attack our forces on the other side of the border. We are reaching the limits of our patience here."

He continued, "It is difficult to achieve a secure Afghanistan as long as there is a safe haven for terrorists in Pakistan from which they can conduct attacks on our forces. … The United States will do whatever we have to do to protect our forces."

Asked if the US might send ground troops from Afghanistan to attack targets in Pakistan, Panetta refused to rule it out. "I’m not going to go into particulars," he said. "It’s about protecting our forces and trying to urge the Pakistanis to take the steps they have to take to control the situation."

Globalists Push Forward With Another New Massacre in Syria

"Globalist operators in Washington DC and London were caught out pushing the last massacre in Houla, Syria, publicly calling for regime change – on the strength of an 11 year old, and Syrian man running his human rights outfit out of a flat in London. On closer examination, the corporate media hype immediately blaming the Assad government for the massacre… fell far short of reality.

Not disheartened by their failure thus far in getting a UN-sanctioned humanitarian intervention based on lies and half-truths, the globalists – led by the “Friends of Syria” unofficial chair Hillary Clinton and her new Syria-side-kick Timothy Geithner, may have staged another massacre in the town of Hama on Wednesday.

According to corporate media reports, at least 30 people, and possibly more, have been killed in the town of Qubair, northwest of Hama. The Washington Post reports:

There were unconfirmed reports of a fresh massacre in Syria on Wednesday as representatives from 55 countries assembled in Washington to explore ways to sharpen the impact of economic sanctions against the Syrian government.

The reports said dozens of civilians in a small village near the central city of Hama were slain by pro-government militias Wednesday afternoon, echoing the circumstances of the killings of more than 100 people in the village of Houla on May 25.

Despite the massive scale of this alleged massacre, the international media’s case – and verdict, for what appears to be yet another tragic event in Syria, is wholy based on the reports of two “activists”, Asem Abu Mohammed and Mousab al-Hamadi. Villagers were apparently ‘hacked to death with knives by unknown militiamen’. Like the Houla Massacre before, these same reports of death squads do not translate very well at all as the work of the Syrian government.

To make matters worse, other confirmed reports from sources inside Syria cited by veteran investigative journalist Webster Tarpley, have testified that the ‘freshly massacred’ victims’ bodies were in a state of advanced decay – and planted at the scene to give the appearance of a massacre event.

The White House wasted no time in trying to leverage the Houla Massacre to pressure UN Security Council members and other allies to enact tougher sanctions against Syria – even though there is no evidence available to even suggest that the massacre was the work of the Assad government.

Hours after the story surfaced on the weekend of May 27th, Houla headlines read, “Massacre of the children as Syrian forces hit rebels”, giving hundreds of millions of readers and viewers to artificial impression that it was Syrian government forces who did the crime – and not western-backed terrorist groups.

The carefully crafted – and very fragile narrative which Washington and London are trying to hold together is along the lines of:

“The Assad regime continuing to wage war on the Syrian people.”

Israel Deliberately Attacks The Intelligence Ship USS Liberty

"Israeli aircraft and torpedo boats attacked the USS Liberty in international waters off Egypt’s Gaza Strip. Israeli aircraft fired napalm and rockets at the intelligence ship that was well marked as a U.S. vessel. The Liberty called for assistance but radio transmissions were blocked by Israel. The lightly armed vessel was eventually able to make contact with the U.S. carrier, Saratoga, whose 12 fighter jets and four tanker planes were launched to defend the Liberty.

Shortly after the aircraft were deployed, Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara ordered the planes to return to the carrier. The Israeli air raid left nine of the 294 crew members dead and 60 wounded. Israeli torpedo boats also attacked the Liberty. The ship successfully dodged four of the torpedoes but was hit at the waterline by one. With severe damage to its hull, the Liberty launched its life boats, but these were also met with attack, a violation of international law. The Liberty did not sink and Israel retreated. The damaged USS Liberty managed to sail to a safe port. A total of 34 Americans were killed and 171 were wounded in the two hour attack.

Israel later apologized for the attack and paid $6.9 million as compensation to the families of the dead and wounded. In 1980, Israel and the U.S. came to an additional settlement of $6 million plus 13 years of interest for damages to the vessel. Israel claims they had mistaken the Liberty for an Egyptian military vessel. U.S.and Israeli reports also concluded the attack was a mistake due to confusion of the identity of the ship. However, Liberty survivors and some U.S. officials from the time say they believe the attack was intentional; done in order to conceal Israel’s planned seizure of Syria’s Golan Heights, which occurred the next day. Officials say that the Liberty, an intelligence ship, would have picked up in the communications in planning the controversial seizure of Golan Heights. "
