Police Pinch Pretend Passenger

‘Car pool’ commuter nabbed with mannequin

"ISLANDIA, N.Y. - The tip-off was the sunglasses.
A New Yorker faces a $135 traffic fine for using a mannequin as her "plus one" in the high-occupancy vehicle lane of the Long Island Expressway.
An alert sheriff's deputy on Long Island became suspicious this week when he saw the "passenger" wearing sunglasses and using the visor. The problem: The sky was overcast."

But it's OK when they do it.
It's not like they actually have a job to do or anything.

the tip off was the intelligent expression

Of course, not all jurisdictions have money to waste on dummies.

Hahahaha:-)
"a smile at the end of the world" maybe a chuckle too- one would think in a world full of "blood-crazed muslims" that the police would have better things to do:-)
i hope any other commenters will note my sarcasm with the Muslim comment!!

In my travels I found that communities all over southern Utah park a prowler with a dummy in it at one end of town.
2 or 3 giveaways - no self respecting cop shop would let a squad car get dusty, the driver window is always up and the vehicle is sometimes an old model with the bubblegum machine on top.
