10 Suicides A Month At Ft. Hood

War Stress Is Taking Soldiers to the Brink

"This Tuesday, President Obama will attend a memorial service for the shootings at Ft. Hood last Friday. He would do well to consider that the war policies he's continuing, extending the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, are the underlying cause of acts of madness and desperation by soldiers at Ft. Hood."

We can improve those numbers declares Mr. Change.

Obama may send 34,000 more troops to Afghanistan

"The Pentagon predicts the possible troop surge will cost up to $20 billion per year, breaking down to some $500,000 per soldier annually."

See? Improvement.

Well, the American Federal Empire needs more grist for the mill and, hey, there's The Great Recession going on, so getting the extra 34,000 is a piece of cake!

Maybe that'll spike the stock exchange above 10,000 for another week, eh?

This is all so unnecessarily heartbreaking (hey since realizing i'm gonna be a mama, my heart center has opened wide up making me less apathetic). Last fall, when my Obama supporting friends were touting his change mantra particularly in relation to war, I kept saying he was merely going to avert his attention from Iraq to Afghanistan. It is the epitomy of hypocrisy that he would show up for the memorial service. As dad says, war is $$.

Violence creates violence. Period. Self defense is at times necessary, but unprovoked always leads to more harm. Really, when will people get that? When will people stop voting in the same 'ole crap and TRULY embrace change? TRULY embrace peace and freedom?

Listen fatso, money talks and what's good for tha DOW trumps any of that peace stuff :-O

You were right about the current crew. The only change is a little deck chair shuffling and grandiose rhetoric. I have a feeling there's much, much more going on behind the scenes and we have to be careful in how we decipher what little we can see.
