Learning Patience

I haven't a clue about what's going on in the world.

The Mrs and I are in transition from our tired old yuppiness to a new and improved remote and mobile existence. What we have to do is wait several weeks until funds are taken care of and then we can complete this honker of a change; until then I have to wait and make do with library computers because yet another Dell withered and died in my hands. Not that it's such a bother, these wonderful libraries. Years ago when they first hooked up to the internets you needed to give ID and take a number and they spied on you to make sure you weren't all kiddie porn on them. Now even in the smallest of hamlets all over the west it's the most natural thing in the world to just walk in and start surfing.

We're camped at a National Monument in the most sublimely beautiful desert environment one can imagine. Nearest town is forty miles distant and we travel back every three to four days for supplies and maybe some gas. We'll be here for at least two more weeks before we can move on.

Out in the desert TV is a distant memory and radio is a spotty nightime skip, so like I said I'm clueless about it all. Except the sun still comes up in the right place, the rabbits graze in front of camp when I bring my tea outside in utter desert silence to catch the show, and speaking of performances, tonight the Orionid meteor swarm stars in some of the darkest skies I've ever seen. No, it's not bad at all.

Good for you. My heart-rate and respiration eased off a bit just reading about teatime with the bunnies.

I'd guess you and the Mrs are making some good choices these days.

"Teatime With The Bunnies"
A far better blog title, for sure.
