Beatles Remixed

I got my order from Barnes and Noble today with the Beatles Love disk in it. A couple of years ago the original producer for the group, George Martin, and his son Giles were commissioned to come up for a soundtrack for the Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas show. They combined various Beatles songs in a remixed format in a way that's haunting and original.
It's absolutely astounding how various tracks overlap and segue so seamlessly.

if you go to the LOVE show at the Mirage in las vegas, the sound of the Beatles songs is the best I have ever heard it without being played at a blasting volume.

If you liked the LOVE CD, you gotta go catch the LOVE show, it is such a fantastic show but the music is what makes it.

thanks for including this in your blog.

Sir George Martin actually produced a new Beatles song, "while my guitar gently weeps", by writing a new orchestral string score and then having a live string section play this score to a solo version of the song that George had originally performed (Ibelieve at his home) but was never used.

I'd very much like to experience the show.
I'm real taken by Martin's efforts. Such originality, and when the music was presented to Paul and Ringo they thought it was fantastic too. Even the original composition was cleaned up and is crisper and sounds better.
