US Isn't Alone In Releasing Bunko Lunar Photos

What is it about the moon that makes space agencies so conspiratorial? A lot of people have pointed out very anomalous photography from the Apollo moon landings. Now the Chinese have decided to join the club and have been outed retouching their Chang'e 1 orbiter pictures.

Hmm. Do you suppose it's to keep us from seeing ruins such as this?

Very interesting... if it's real.

That's the problem with moon photos taken from lunar orbitals. How easy is it to verify when there are never two probes orbiting the moon at the same time?

thanks for the link, though my guess is there's a lot of disinfo in that piece about why they have to retouch moon photos-- as you hint at.

Good point nick which is why it may get interesting all of a sudden with India And Japan sending orbiters too.
It just seems a given that pictures from the moon from whatever mission are always tampered with, spooked. And does anybody else see that the quality over time has degraded?
