The story on that last picture is that the Tigress lost her cubs, I can't remember the details. She became really depressed, so they dressed up the piglets and she began nursing and was very happy again.
I believe instead of a maternal instinct there is a protective instinct that all people share regardless of sex. It's just that females have the equipment and the ability to nourish on the run. Great pics.

You gotta know that I LOVE these pictures. Too bad people couldn't be as gentle to one another as these animals are.
