Sham Conference Will Highlight Waning American Influence

Secretary of State Rice's really big show announced the list of participants that supposedly will attend her middle east conference on November 27. A big fat omission is the latest zionist target - Iran.

I think the invited assemblage was to come together and be strong armed persuaded to accept the dominance of Israel in the region, and all the invited parties know it. Any real peace initiative would have had everybody attend, including Iran. It's probable that the jig is up and no one is fooled by flowery, empty phrases about peace coming from a foreign power in the midst of a brutal occupation. With Israel's stranglehold tightening on the west bank and Gaza they aren't everybody's favorite to get together and have lunch with either. The Israelis and the Palestinians basically are showing up to toss out seperate declarations and then leave.

Expectations for this fig leaf fiasco are diminishing by the hour. It's been scaled back to a one day "meeting", barely enough time for wary attendees to get bored. Nothing new will come of this self serving conference, one of those endless phony benchmarks that the fascists love so dearly. A bunch of the invited may not even bother showing up. It's the new reality that america is now widely condemned and hated around the world and the middle east isn't going to dance to it's tune just because this country decided to strike up the band.

Dogmatic religion is a fine way to keep people at each others' throats and controlled.
