APEC Host Committee believes Oahu is ready
"HONOLULU- On November 7, twenty-one Pacific Rim leaders will converge on Oahu for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference. An estimated 20,000 visitors will come with them."
"It’s estimated the state and the City and County of Honolulu combined have spent around $50 million taxpayer dollars in preparation for the conference, from November 7 – 13. Honolulu International Airport is receiving a makeover and palm trees are being erected along the Nimitz Highway corridor."
