Your Daily Police-Are-Now-Anti-American-Fascist-Thugs Story

Charity Poker Game Raided By Police

"BUXTON, Maine -- Buxton police raided a building where people were trying to raise money to give free food to the needy.
It happened at the Narragansett Pythian Sisters Temple on Route 22 where people were playing the card game Texas Hold'em to benefit the Buxton Community Food Co-op.
But state police said the game was illegal.
That's because whenever a gambling tournament is held to raise money for a group and takes place at its headquarters, a permit is needed and the co-op didn't have one.
So, state police seized cards, poker chips and $500 in cash -- money the food co-op desperately needed."

The spirit of the law and the letter of the law are rapidly diverging, to the point where we the people simply won't take it anymore.

Wait, there's more.

Ohio man arrested for mowing unkempt grass at park

"(AP) - An Ohio man arrested for mowing unkempt grass at a public park said he just wanted to make his city look nice. John Hamilton said he took control of the situation because the grass in Sandusky’s Central Park was about a foot high. According to a police report, a witness said Hamilton was blowing grass onto the sidewalk and shredding trash in the park that had not been picked up.
Police said they arrested 48-year-old Hamilton after he refused to stop mowing and charged him with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
City Manager Matt Kline called the arrest unfortunate and said he understands Hamilton’s frustration. Kline said budget cuts have left Sandusky understaffed for seasonal maintenance work."

I appreciate your kind words, Devin.

What you mention is the great unspoken truth about our descent into fascist hell, reminiscent of that No One Left To Protest quote from Niemoeller. What people have to understand is that all of these horror stories of torture, rape, murder and cop violence are going to eventually involve them, too. It always will, that's how it works.
