What's Up With All The "Border" Checkpoints?

OK, I haven't been down near the border with Mexico in a few years so this may not be a new phenomena, but just going to Big Bend National Park and coming back north I was inconvenienced by three roadblocks. All traffic was stopped and had to be scrutinized by an agent, and I wasn't comfortable with the abrupt questioning about my business.

Here's the problem with this as I see it. First of all, these checkpoints, or more realistically, roadblocks, because the traffic was hindered for a period of time, aren't the border. These established policing stations are well within the territory of the US, in one case 60 miles. If you accept that these stoppages are necessary according to the government, then you have to assume that all that square mileage before the "checkpoints" isn't the USA, otherwise why did it take so long to see if illegal immigrants are stealthily sneaking into the country?

Of course the whole thing is a farce, as usual, entirely predictable from a mafia determined to establish a police state with a boot on everybody's neck. Border security has been a joke since forever, glaringly so since the cabal's 9/11 when "security" only meant their security from us, so virtually nothing was done for years about the Mexican border until the problem (meaning public outrage) became acute. This was when the manipulators decided to act, setting up their armed traffic outposts to get american citizens used to one more outrage - being scrutinized for no reason. Woe be to any concerned citizen who objects to traffic diversion and time lost to unconstitutional grilling.

That has been going on for years here. If you drive to the southern part of the state, even if you don't go into Mexico you have to stop at a checkpoint between Las Cruces and Alb on the way back.

The checkpoints that really bother me are the weekend checkpoints in town, that are supposedly looking for drunk drivers. I am sure they catch some drunk drivers, but they could do that by parking a few miles from a bar and watching people drive by. You don't have to stop traffic to find drunk drivers in NM.

Hey, pig - you shoulda called... I coulda told you about that. The "border" is a nebulous concept. Look up the Former Border Patrol (I think they still call themselves that, even though they're now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Zionista Ministry of Homeland Sekkkurity) and you'll find they have outlets in places as close to the Border as Kansas City. The best part is that they've shitcanned all the old guys who've lived here for 20 years or so and brought in a bunch of smart young fellas who're just itchin' for a good excuse to order you outta yer car tear it apart lookin' for them eel eagle alis - "we're also on the lookout for escaped prisoners, contraband and eel eagle guns." It's gonna get worse before it gets better. The local whiners are all wandering around in stunned amazement that DHS has decided that no laws apply to them, either - being as how they're part of the Eggs Zek You Teev - and they don't fooken care whether the good folks of Brewster County - and Presidio, Jeff Davis and other counties that actually have Rio Grande River frontage - want their fooken wall or not... they've announced the Wall will be built, will ye, nill ye... so - this is gonna sooprize ya - these good folks are gonna have theirselfs another MEETING! Yeah! That's gonna show the bastards we mean bidness. Right. And then there's all them Ocean Front lots in Colorado waitin' to be snapped up just as soon as the Internatural Banksters Union bails out the Mortgage Jamboree - you need to sign up got your lot, today, my man. Have a safe trip home, and Hasta Ladonga. You're probably going to get stopped a few more times before you get there.

Nebulous concept indeed. Kansas City? WTF?
I didn't have a net connection until I got up here to Truth or Consequences, Tex. Thanks for your kind offer to clue me in to the budding fascism down here. Good thing I wasn't giving Pedro a lift.
