Pope Dope

Dim Son and mob of trucked in screaming kids meet god’s rottweiller
"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush has quite a birthday present for Pope Benedict XVI: at least 9,000 excited guests gathered on the White House's South Lawn for a 21-gun salute, a famed soprano's rendition of "The Lord's Prayer" and an emotional presidential welcome.
The pontiff turned 81 on Wednesday, the first full day of his first trip to the United States as leader of the world's Roman Catholics. He'll spend most of the day at the White House, only the second pope to do so and the first in 29 years
."

Don't puke as you read the bullshit from white house press mouthpiece Perino:

"He will hear from the president that America and the world need to hear his message that God is love, that human life is sacred, that we all must be guided by common moral law, and that we have responsibilities to care for our brothers and sisters in need, at home and across the world."

Speaking of birthdays, pope Ratzinger will go to the site of modern day fascism's big stage play when he visits ground zero in New York, on Hitler's birthday, a message that shouldn't be taken lightly. This guy is the most strident fascist-leaning authoritarian ever to assume the papacy. All his inflexible views and harsh polarizing style are well known and virtually indistinguishable from that of a white supremist. He's a walking billboard for intolerance, and let's not forget he was a member of Hitler Youth, a total package that will feel right at home with the fascist cabal in Washington.

Also, Abuse Victims Not Placated by Pope
"Far from tamping down emotions, Pope Benedict XVI’s expression of remorse on Tuesday for the church’s sexual abuse scandal prompted an angry and skeptical response from victims, who said they wanted actions, not words from the Vatican."

Fat chance this pedophile protecting poser will do anything substantive to end criminal activity in the church any time soon. Their idea of "fixing" child abuse is to reassign pedophiles to new parishes and communities where the abuse continues.

"A British documentary claimed that Pope Benedict XVI was implicated in the systematic cover-up of child sex abuse allegations against Catholic priests.
Before becoming head of the church, the then cardinal Joseph Ratzinger enforced church doctrinal orthodoxy, including a "secret Vatican decree which seemed to shelter the perpetrators and silence the victims of abuse", the Panorama programme said.
This was the 1962 document Crimen Sollicitationis, which told top churchmen how to deal with priests who "solicit or provoke the penitent toward impure and obscene matters", according to a translation from Latin on the BBC website.
It imposed an oath of secrecy on victims, witnesses and those probing abuse claims and said that anyone breaking this would be excommunicated, the BBC said."
