Anybody We Know?

"Imagine - if you can - not having a conscience, none at all, no feelings of guilt or remorse no matter what you do, no limiting sense of concern for the well-being of strangers, friends, or even family members. Imagine no struggles with shame, not a single one in your whole life, no matter what kind of selfish, lazy, harmful, or immoral action you had taken.
And pretend that the concept of responsibility is unknown to you, except as a burden others seem to accept without question, like gullible fools.
Now add to this strange fantasy the ability to conceal from other people that your psychological makeup is radically different from theirs. Since everyone simply assumes that conscience is universal among human beings, hiding the fact that you are conscience-free is nearly effortless.
You are not held back from any of your desires by guilt or shame, and you are never confronted by others for your cold-bloodedness. The ice water in your veins is so bizarre, so completely outside of their personal experience, that they seldom even guess at your condition.
In other words, you are completely free of internal restraints, and your unhampered liberty to do just as you please, with no pangs of conscience, is conveniently invisible to the world.
You can do anything at all, and still your strange advantage over the majority of people, who are kept in line by their consciences will most likely remain undiscovered.
[...]
Provided you are not forcibly stopped, you can do anything at all."

THE PSYCHOPATH - The Mask of Sanity

And get away with it for a period of time because the inherently good nature of most people won't allow them to realize how profoundly sick you are. As a shell without conscience you can maintain the aura of normality.

"This lack of "soul quality" makes them very efficient "machines." They can be brilliant, write scholarly works, imitate the words of emotion, but over time, it becomes clear that their words do not match their actions."

You exhibit the trait that other people desire - untroubled self confidence.

"He does bizarre and self-destructive things because consequences that would fill the ordinary man with shame, self-loathing, and embarrassment simply do not affect the psychopath at all. What to others would be a disaster is to him merely a fleeting inconvenience."

The psychopaths in power today have no feelings as we know them. They are narcissistic, soulless individuals who couldn't give a flying fuck about how their actions affect others. Responsibility and conscience are for suckers. They simply aren't human as we know it. Mass murder means nothing to them as long as their wishes and needs are rewarded as they see fit, and that a sick agenda is fulfilled.
It should be obvious by now, after years of this shit, what they intend to do. They don't just want a lot, or want most, they want it all, and they don't care how many people get killed and maimed to achieve that end.

I've been thinking much the same things, just haven't been able to find the words.

The worst of this is the fact that such people in positions of power actually are becoming popular, amongst little wannabes of their ilk, as long as they pretend to have an enemy that is worse.

It's a truly sick trend and anything but the way of "good" humanitarian christians, imo.
