Most Americans Sick To Death Of This TV Show But The Goddam Remote Won't Change The Channel

This article is one of many that are espousing this theme but virtually all make the same mistake. They assume that 1. - most americans can pinpoint the cause of their malaise and 2, - change can be effected by voting on election day. I'd suggest that most americans know that something is desperately wrong, yes, but will be swayed by slick mind controlling propaganda to blame the wrong reasons and the wrong people. And then of course there's always the sizable minority who will sit acquiescent, glassy eyed and drooling in front of their boob tubes.

"DES MOINES, Iowa — A year before they choose a new government for the post-Bush era, Americans are desperate to change the country's course.
According to opinion polls and interviews with political experts and voters, the U.S. population is more liberal than at any time in a generation, hungering to end the Iraq war, turn inward and use the federal government to solve problems at home
