Since bad boy Dimetrodon lived way back, about 280 million years ago during the Permian period, there's a lot of speculation about it's physical characteristics and behavior, much like the perplexed state we find ourselves in when listening to or watching Glenn Beck.
Because it lived before the Big Extinction 250 million years BC, most animals from then are harder to classify than even the dinos that came afterwards. Were they mammalian or reptilian? Were the giant sails for heating and air conditioning or for mating displays? Is Glenn Beck a certified lunatic or simply a highly paid propaganda rodeo clown?
Fortunately for our tortured frontal lobes, Beck's crazy word soup show on Faux is as extinct as the apex predator of it's time period in history.
