Repugs Rip Off Voice Of God And Ben Affleck

Democrats demand stations pull political ad featuring Morgan Freeman after actor denies it’s his voice

"A Republican campaign group has come under fire for using a Morgan Freeman 'sound-alike' in a political attack ad.

The actor has fervently denied narrating the aggressive advert, saying 'they are close, but no cigar.'

And now Democrat officials have demanded that the ad, which has run on several TV stations, should be pulled, calling it a 'dangerous deception'.

The advert, created by conservative pressure group Citizens for a Strong America, is aimed at Democrat Shelly Moore, candidate in an upcoming election for Wisconsin's state senate.

It is narrated by someone who sounds strikingly similar to 74-year-old Mr Freeman, whose voice is one of the most recognisable in Hollywood, particularly after his voiceover work on films like March of the Penguins."

Here's The Clip From "The Town" That GOP Leaders Used To Rally Members Behind The Boehner Plan

"In a conference meeting, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy showed a scene from The Town in which Doug MacRay, a criminal played by Affleck, asks for his friend's help in a revenge mission. "I need your help. I can’t tell you what it is. You can never ask me about it later, and we're gonna hurt some people" MacRay pleads. “Whose car are we gonna take,” his friend responds with tough-guy swagger. Even stranger, the gimmick actually worked – at least partially. Once the clip was over, Rep. Allen West, formerly one of the most outspoken critics among the Republican freshmen, stood up to say, "I'm ready to drive the car," voicing his support for the plan."
