Water Leaking From Japan Reactor Ten Million Times More Radioactive Than Normal

Japan nuclear: Workers evacuated as radiation soars

"Workers trying to cool the reactor core to avoid a meltdown have been evacuated.

Earlier, Japan's nuclear agency said that levels of radioactive iodine in the sea near the plant had risen to 1,850 times the usual level.

The UN's nuclear agency has warned the crisis could go on for months.

It is believed the radiation at Fukushima is coming from one of the reactors, but a specific leak has not been identified.

Leaking water at reactor 2 has been measured at 1,000 millisieverts/hour - 10 million times higher than when the plant is operating normally.

"We are examining the cause of this, but no work is being done there because of the high level of radiation," said a spokesman for the plant's operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco)."

"Meanwhile, the Japanese government said that airborne radiation around the plant was decreasing."

added - Oops, never mind. Our bad. Sure thing.

Hi Nolo:

here is an emotional response to the high readings in Tokyo

Anyone else smelling the familiar stench of Katrina? How come this unprecedent rash of "disasters" is invariably accompanied by unprecedented negligence and lack of appropriate's almost as, nevermind. It couldn't be that some alien force is out to rid the planet of humans...that just couldn't be!

Jeez, you can only wonder how many millions of people feel like that poor guy.
Which I suspect both you and I believe is the point these days. They feed on fear and despair and want us to live our lives in desperation and hopelessness and confusion.

The West still has time and energy to devote on yet another war (Libya) for OIL??? Here is the first comprehensible explanation for what is going on...and it comes from India TV.

Apparently, one year to the day before the initial "earthquake/tsunami" Japan came out publically against Israel's oppression of the Palestianians...and the nuclear plant security was managed by an Israeli security many times do we have to hear this kind of craP?
