Backyard Southwest Sunrise

Time to put out the birdfeed.



The finches and sparrows always show up later on in the day, but the best crowd is the meadowlarks, mourning/barred doves and quail that show up at the crack of first light. These are long, cold nights and the big birds are hungry.
I try to get out to unfreeze the water bowls and spread sunflower seeds, corn and millet about now.
