So Much For Any Faux/Obama Spat
One year ago - Obama slams Fox News
"I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration…That’s a pretty big megaphone. You’d be hard pressed if you watched the entire day to find a positive story about me on that front,” Obama said."
Today - Fox Gets Front-Row Seat in White House Press Room
"Fox News Channel has been granted a much-coveted front-row seat in the White House briefing room.
The White House Correspondents Association also announced Sunday that The Associated Press' reporter has been moved to the front-row center seat.
That seat was long held by United Press International and Hearst News Service writer Helen Thomas. The 89-year-old Thomas abruptly resigned in June amid controversy over videotaped remarks she made calling on Israelis to get "out of Palestine."
Fox's correspondent will be moved to the front-row seat that was held by the AP. National Public Radio's correspondent will be moved to Fox's old second-row seat."
Why do I get the feeling this is a lot like May Day in the Soviet Union when who stood next to who on the podium signaled who was in or out of favor?
