Large Hadron Collider to start high energy 'God Particle' hunt
"Scientists at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (Cern), which operates the £5bn atom-smasher on the Franco-Swiss border, are expected to restart high-energy operations on Tuesday morning.
Their aim is to steer speeding atomic particles into head-on collisions in a bid to mimic the conditions seen moments after the Big Bang."
Damn them!

They smashed the beams together today (Tuesday) Nolo and we're still here.
That's good or bad news. Depends on your perspective.
Haha, that's amusingly cheeky or deeply depressing, dad.
haha - I agree with dad's and your comment back about still being here- all a matter of perspective - God only knows what is coming down the pike for us!!
messing with huge energies like these just doesn't seem like such a hot (no pun intended:-) idea to me!!
all the best to you and the mrs and everyone here!!
