Thou SHALT shoplift: Priest tells congregation it's better than robbery or prostitution
"Poor people who are desperate for cash have been advised to go forth and shoplift from major stores - by an Anglican priest.
The Rev Tim Jones said in his Sunday sermon that stealing from successful shops was preferable to burglary, robbery or prostitution.
He told parishioners it would not break the eighth commandment 'thou shalt not steal' because it 'is permissible for those who are in desperate situations to take food that they might not starve."

Jesus-Shooting-Santa Display Riles Neighbors
"A Christmas display featuring Jesus shooting Santa Claus and a run-over Rudolph is riling some residents of a California neighborhood, KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, Calif., reported.
Homeowner Ron Lake said his Christmas display in Nipomo is an expression of his repressed creativity, and that Santa represents the commercialism of Christmas.
His neighbors disagree and they're upset -- they say the disturbing display will upset children. A school bus stop is just outside the fence that separates the display from the town's main roads.
"I know it's freedom of speech, but it's pretty disturbing and there are lots of children. That's our main concern," one neighbor said."

now there's a pastor who i could actually listen to. one who tells it like it is, doesn't blame the victim, sees the crap of the system for what it is and says "take what you need". that is, afterall, what the corporate system has been doing TO us for decades. time to return the favor, eh?
The System has been set up as a deadly rip off and a lot of peopple will be desperate, especially starting this year with food's collapse. I wish there was a way to go at the problem from the other direction, from the top down, but that will never happen. The guy's right - stealing to stay alive is no crime.
