By The Way, Which One's Pink

With rumors circulating that granddad Charlie Watts was quitting the Stones I thought I'd take a look at contemporary pictures of the founding members of Pink Floyd.

Syd Barret

Roger Waters

David Gilmour

"Gilmour's "Shine on Crazy Diamond", probably about Syd Barrett who was constantly tripping on acid, so much so that he left the band in 1968. ("Now there's a look in your eyes/ Like black holes in the sky") Barrett died from diabetes in 2006.
This is from his "Remember That Night - Live At The Royal Albert Hall" DVD with guest David Bowie and from the looks of it, David Crosby.

By The Way, Which One's Pink

As a huge fan of Pink Floyd, I can't ignore a post like this. Is this a test? If so, I'll have to say Syd Barret is Pink. The band has referenced him in many of their lyrics, perhaps the most significant being "The Wall".

Barret went from being Pink to being the rabid right-wing skinhead depicted in this photo, apparently after getting some kind of chemical injection to boost him onto his feet.

Syd Barret did too much acid, from what i gather. Not only did it make him see too much, but what he saw, he obviously didn't like. He looks like a typical Skinhead in the picture here, and anyone that knows about the Wall, also knows about the lyrics which described Pink falling ill and being replaced by another nazi-style punk band with a dictatorial military leader.

Syd Barret and Pink are a sad commentary on the state of the western civilization after the 70s, when the war-perty made its corporate-glory comback. Sad to think that Pink had to be replaced by a fascist punk band just so the show could go on.
