The Real Skinny On Palin

Written by a resident of Wasilla, Alaska.
Like all things, the situation is complex and a lot more interesting than shallow media coverage. But if you expect better government and something different from the vicious criminality of the last eight years, you better take a good long look at Sarah Barracuda.

By the way, Anne and Nancy Wilson of Heart had to take legal action against the McSame campaign to keep them from using the band's song "Barracuda".

"Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song 'Barracuda' no longer be used to promote her image. The song 'Barracuda' was written in the late 70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The 'barracuda' represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there's irony in Republican strategists' choice to make use of it there."

What an incredible, damning letter. Lots of ammunition for the Dems - let's hope they use it.

One of the reasons this woman's letter rings so true for me is that I know just such a person as Sarah Palin - someone who uses his authority to carry out personal vendettas, someone who intimidates others against speaking out. Even on a small scale, as in my situation, living in the oppressive atmosphere created by such a person makes you feel absolutely helpless. But having such a person as VP is truly frightening.

That's exactly what I felt abi.
There's some ugly reason why this supremely unqualified woman was chosen, aside from being a PR gimmick. Her attitudes twin the Bushistas and she would be McSame's Cheney, only with a christopath streak.
