One of the best series that I've come across from BBC television is The Life Of Birds from 1998 with David Attenborough. If you think you know how complex and interesting birds can be, be prepared to think again. It's long and comprehensive with ten episodes, and I was astounded throughout by how much fascinating stuff I was simply unaware of. Attenborough is a terrific presenter for this material as he travels the world with camera crews that capture footage that I guarantee will knock your socks off. Netflix has the 3 disc series, I don't know about Blockbuster

Anything commented upon by Attenborough is on my movie list. I love the guy, he keeps things interesting but doesn't seem to patronize the lay person. One of my favorite media personalities.

Attenborough is absolutely top shelf as are BBC endeavors, like the "Walking With" series. I'm just finishing up with this stunning birds doc and I don't think I could have had time better spent, bpaul.
