I think the administration has a mad-on about Iran because they were so easily duped by pro-Iranian operatives - manipulating Bush's desire to appease Saudi Arabia. With the invasion and removal of Sadaam, Iraq was basically given over to Iranian control.

Of course Bush Co can't admit how much they were strung along by Ahmed Chalabi and his pals so they just call Iran evil and plan to blow it up...

So many spooks, so little time. With Iran I believe it's AIPAC and the zionist lobby pushing for this insanity, but there are always overlapping resons for their perfidy. We should also sprinkle in asinine stupidity, something they possess in abundance.
