Looks like cooler heads prevailed and those fifteen Brits are going home.

This morning two more powerful earthquakes shook the Solomon Islands where a killer 8.0 quake hit on Monday.
"People in buildings in the badly damaged town emerged quickly to see if there was any sign of a tsunami at sea, but no wave materialised."

Remember when american troops raided that consulate in what should by all rights be called Kurdistan and arrested those five Iranian military officials and are keeping them in detention, well, probably forever?
"There were expectations that the Iranians might be released on March 21, the start of the Iranian new year. After that date passed, some observers believe Iran may have opted for a tit-for-tat response in seizing the 15 British sailors.
If that is the case, the Iranians apparently don’t understand the rules of the game: that President Bush has the unilateral right to do whatever he wants in the world and any reaction is unjustified, if not an invitation to an American military retaliation."

It's only illegal when they do it you know.

And it's only terrorism when they do it.
"A Pakistani tribal militant group responsible for a series of deadly guerrilla raids inside Iran has been secretly encouraged and advised by American officials since 2005, U.S. and Pakistani intelligence sources tell ABC News."
Here are our good buddies.

A poster at DU points out that poisoning food in China isn't that rare at all. The wheat gluten that's killed our pets came from China.
The Chinese gluten/wheat is industrial espionage/sabotage

No amount of finagling with the sound system would have cancelled out the thunderous boos and catcalls so President Bunnypants had better things to do than throw out the first pitch of the season.
"With Bush's approval ratings stuck below 40 percent in recent polls, Lawrimore was asked whether the president feared he'd get booed. "No," she replied. "Certainly not."
40 percent?

Seen the movie 300 yet? Dan Savage thinks it's like it’s Ann Coulter on a meth binge.

Tonight, Glenn Beck suggested the release of the British soldiers was actually a humiliation for Britain. These idiots never tire of the crack cocaine.

The situation is being spun in all different directions. I think Beck is in the "The brits were punked for not going all Abu Ghraib on them" catagory.
