Dark Lord Dick Cheney pushed his pro torture agenda at a private meeting with senators this week, trying to get the CIA exempted from the McCain amendment to the defense appropriation bill. The McCain amendment would specifically ban torture, but the Dark Lord finds torture to be a fine American family value and would hate to see it go.
