The Ever Morphing War

CIA Escalates in Pakistan

"The U.S. military is secretly diverting aerial drones and weaponry from the Afghan battlefront to significantly expand the CIA's campaign against militants in their Pakistani havens.
The shift in strategic focus reflects the U.S. view that, with Pakistan's military unable or unwilling to do the job, more U.S. force against terrorist sanctuaries in Pakistan is now needed to turn around the struggling Afghan war effort across the border."

First they said it was to capture Osama and kill 9/11 perps, then when opium production exploded after the occupation the occupiers blamed "Al Qaida" and said they were there to battle drugs, and it was to liberate the women, then the Taliban became the enemy, an extremely useful enemy, then various people in Pakistan and now Pakistani forces as well.

I'd venture to guess the ultimate goal is to create as much chaos as possible in Pakistan, setting various factions against one another as in divide and conquer, ultimately going to war with the country to neuter another of Israel's targets. The one with the nuclear bombs.
Along with the gargantuan drug trade, very profitable for arms producers and Wall Street.
Here go chat with Sgt Star about joining up,
