Manhattan Judge Is Latest Government Employee Busted for Porn on the Job

"Manhattan Criminal Court Judge James D. Gibbons resigned last week after porn was discovered on his work computer. The evidence was turned over to the Manhattan district attorney's office, and presumably if Gibbons had not resigned, he could have been fired. The discovery "came as part of routine monitoring of courthouse personnel, said one of the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing," The New York Times reports. Obviously, he should have known better, but incidents of getting caught with digital pornography on the job seem to be especially common among government employees, who are under more scrutiny as a result of their taxpayer-paid salaries."
