I've always thought that the next 9/11 will by necessity, have to trump 9/11 in the general fear factor. All the phony "Al Qaeda" bozos and conspiracies that were micromanaged by US spooks since 2001 were pathetically manipulated reminders of black tuesday, transparent justification for turning this country into a fascist police state. Headline grabbing bullshit like those "terrorist cells" and that crotchbomber idiocy were only to drive the last nails in the coffin, finishing off our freedoms.

When you think about it, ideally the fascists don't want to destroy too much property like nuking a city.
