And Empire Is Still Celebrating Katrina

U.S. brags Haiti response is a ‘model’ while more than a million remain homeless in Haiti

astounding success

"Despite the fact that over a million people remained homeless in Haiti one month after the earthquake, U.S. Ambassador to Haiti Ken Merten is quoted at a State Department briefing on Feb. 12, saying: “In terms of humanitarian aid delivery … frankly, it’s working really well. And I believe that this will be something that people will be able to look back on in the future as a model for how we’ve been able to sort ourselves out as donors on the ground and responding to an earthquake.”

What we must remember is that this foul reptile is actually speaking the truth - from the empire's standpoint. When the fascists and their stooges open their pieholes and say something along these lines it's absolutely startling until we recall they simply do not think the way we do.We mistakenly believe our values and morals are shared by the sociopaths running our government, but they aren't and haven't been for a long time. The fascist agenda is the most important thing to this class of criminals and success and failure, in their eyes, depends on how skillfully people and events are manipulated to further it. These psychos have a long history of blurting out the truth as they see it while sane people look at them in astonishment.

When they say these things all you have to do is remember that their goals are not our goals, their successes can be horrifying to rational onlookers. Madeleine Allbright, then ambassador to the UN, was asked a question about the murderous sanctions on Iraq in May, 1996 on the TV show 60 minutes:

Lesley Stahl: "We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that is more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?"
To which Ambassador Albright responded,
"I think that is a very hard choice, but the price, we think, the price is worth it. "

It didn't matter to the Clinton mob that their actions caused such death and human suffering as long as the globalist agenda was furthered by Iraq's agony so sure, it was worth it - to them. It was the same sentiment that Bush exhibited on board the carrier when his banner exclaimed "Mission Accomplished". The hardest parts of conquering Iraq were the lying machinations, propaganda and duplicity to pull off the war and occupation, once that was achieved the mission was indeed accomplished - for them. The underlying effort of steering hurricanes into New Orleans and blowing the dikes to destroy a certain section of the city and scatter hundreds of thousands of people worked like a charm. Heckuva job, Brownie!

Evidence is abundant that the earthquake that caused cataclysmic disaster in Haiti was man made, but the most damning of all was the empire's response. A naked and overwhelming occupation to secure the known oil resources and establish a permanent military presense, at the expense of suffering Haitians. We look at the ongoing tragedy in horror but fascist operative Merten looks at the same situation and can pat himself on the back, because yet again, it's "working really well" because the agenda has been served.
