NJ City Considers Adult Curfew

What could possibly go wrong?

"PATERSON, N.J. — Curfews might not be just for kids anymore in one city in northern New Jersey.
Officials in Paterson are considering one for people of all ages in a bid to curb violence after a spate of deadly shootings.
Several experts say they believe it would be the nation's first curfew of its type to include adults. The state ACLU says it would open Paterson to legal action.
The curfew would last for two months and would bar people from loitering outside from midnight to 7 a.m. Violators would face up to a $2,000 fine and 90 days in jail.
Officials are still working to make sure the plan can withstand legal challenges.
If the City Council passes it Sept. 1, a second vote and a public hearing are needed for it to take effect."

Sounds like NJ may be the test-state for something that many state governments might want to use as the perfect excuse to round up the growing homeless population and put them in concentration camps. All too many homeless people have no where to go between 12 pm and 7 am. Expect the fascist police to support this plan, they'll enjoy making it into a regular sport - hunting the homeless.

if someone wishes to commit a crime, they will commit it regardless of the time of day. keep people inside at night, they'll simply carry out their plans during the day. this has "what's the REAL agenda" written all over it. and nick's point is a good one--and frightening. cities have been cracking down on those w/o a place to live. sickening. there was a man in seattle being interviewed on television. he, his wife and children were living in one of the tent cities. he was visibly (and very understandably) upset--saying "they want us out of here. but where are we supposed to go? we have no place to go." god damn media puppet cut the guy off.

can't have the TRUTH of REALITY in our faces now, can we oh pretty little "everything's ok la la la la la" bimbo with the $2,000 suit on.

Yup, I see this as a logical segue from criminalizing the homeless. Under the guise of "fighting crime" they can weed out the undesirables much like they'll be able to filter out the malcontents with whoever refuses the mandatory vaccinations.

What struck me was the stupidity of it. Bringing out a cannon to swat a fly. Don't we live in a 24/7 world now? Are people who work at night now automatically suspect? Whether it's a martial law test case or something, it literally screams ulterior motives at us.
