Attacked Afghan Base Miraculously Gets Downsized
The propaganda ministry must have gotten the word out to it's stooges in the MSM that they had to downplay the story.
On Sunday Afghan resistance attacked a US base in eastern Afghanistan and official word was that nine americans died. The fact that they had to report this means the toll was probably far higher in dead and wounded but let's just stick with the official tale.
The Empire never loses, just suffers temporary setbacks so the initial reportage of it being a "base" on the 13th was too evocative for the Foxified rubes. Today when the US military abandoned the place it turned into a far smaller and less significant "outpost" and "site".

Have you seen the ad that some outfit called Vets for Freedom is running? They claim the surge in Iraq has worked brilliantly, and that the insurgents have been "all but defeated". These guys remind me of a sorry bunch of Civil War buffs I saw at Gettysburg once who insisted that it was the Confederates who actually prevailed there in 1863; its just that the yankee - controlled publishing industry lied about the true outcome of the battle. Of course those guys were probably only half serious - these guys actually believe that horseshit.
