Tasered man dies in custody June 24, 2008
"A man died in custody after he was tasered by police following a confrontation near Simcoe, Ontario, yesterday morning.
Provincial police responded to a report of an "unwanted male" causing a disturbance near Fishers Glen Road in Norfolk County at about 10:30 a.m. yesterday.
Police said they found a "combative male" at the scene just east of Turkey Point and a taser was used on the man during the encounter. The man was taken into police custody and transported to the Simcoe provincial police detachment.
Police say the man collapsed when he arrived at the detachment. Officers administered first aid until an ambulance arrived. The man later died at Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe."
