Protecting Israel In The Media

By any measure what Israel is doing to the Palestinians is a war crime of biblical proportions. Gaza is an open air concentration camp, blocked by the zionists from receiving basic and desperately needed human necessities while wallowing in sewage and bombarded incessantly. You won't hear much of this in the endlessly despicable MSM however. Their task is to ignore what the rest of the world sees as repugnant and to make sure dead-from-the-neck-up americans never emerge from their complacently comfortable bubble of righteous smug.

They do this by omission and commission, sometimes ignoring egregious things, sometimes making things seem different than what they really are. They play with words and knowing that most people don't venture beyond the headline, bury uncomfortable facts deep in the story.

Take this for instance. By oh so innocently placing "to" on the other side of "end" in the headline, casual readers will think Israel is doing the urging rather than the shameful blockading:

Or this, where the zionists are face to face with the horrible, dreaded scourge of scrutiny, as if Rice casually thinking about their fascist crimes would send a shiver up their backbones. What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Maybe the Israelis would be a little more reasonable if HAMAS STOPPED LOBBING MISSILES into Israel. The people living near Gaza have to deal 24 hours a day with missiles exploding around them. If this doesn't fit into your worldview, feel free to ignore it.

Ah yes, the poor, innocent Israelis, who reject out of hand offers of truces, who's fondness for collective punishment knows no limit, who's apartheid siege of Gaza is censored in american media, are forced, forced I say to regularly use their hundred billion dollar, high tech weaponry to relentlessly pound Gaza because of some qassam bottle rockets.
Maybe ending their 60 year binge of flinging feces at cowering palestinians and allowing the Gazans to get a decent meal at some point might help the situation

I read elsewhere some time ago, like last year, that the Israelis were getting around the aggreement they made with the US to remove some road-blocks by simply moving them around to different locations. Apparently, all the proof Rice needs is to see a couple of sites where the road-blocks were re-moved for her satisfaction.

Those poor Israelis. They just can't seem to steal enough land from the Pals to feel secure. Bombing them all to hell and starving them to death is the Zionist plan for Pals and all Muslims in the ME.

The militants who are firing rockets indiscriminately into Israel are criminals and should be punished. So should those Israelis responsible for the collective punishment of hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians.

There's no comparing the magnitude of these two crimes.

We have to look at this way. So many of these arab "terrorist" groups are simply trying to regain their land and their freedom. Is it a terrorist act when you're fighting for your right to live w/o outside intrusion?

For a real perspective, talk to those who have fled Palestine. Our neighbors, who left two years ago, have really helped open my eyes. Over 20% of their land had been taken over by the Israel. Food and water are rationed. They must endure endless military checkpoints.

What are these people supposed to do? Lay back silently and pray? Fighting back is sometimes the only option when you're dealing with folks who think you're beneath them simply because of what god you pray to.

Then of course, there is the question of just who is firing those qassams and other small munitions that mostly hit vacant land and parking lots, and are pointed too time and again as justification for murderous retaliation.
