The Stupidest Holiday In The World

Columbus Day. An idiotic paean to a rapacious racist who's only claim to infamy should be a marker in history as in pre-columbian. He "discovered" nothing, as there were plenty of people living on the islands and continents of the western hemisphere and were doing quite well until the christianist murderers arrived to slaughter them with disease and the sword.

Everything we were taught about 1492 is a laughable joke. Most educated people knew the shape and dimensions of the world since at least Eratosthenes in the third century before that other fraudulent myth. People had been transversing the oceans for tens of thousands of years prior to the arrival of those filthy, barbaric europeans. The expedition was all about gold and the native peoples were enslaved in the quest for it. Less than twenty years later more than 95% of the islands' populations were dead and that was just the start of history's worst genocide.
