Is it because the repugs are somehow attracting men like Senator Craig or Foley or Bob Allen and a host of others? Is there something in the mindset of neocon thought that appeals to homosexual men who like it kinky, dangerous or wired, like Reverend Ted?
Jeez, another day, another repug is involved in less than gracious carnal activity. They come and they go, so to speak. This time the real story with Idaho Senator Craig isn't that he pleaded guilty to solicitation in a bathroom but what impact it will have on Mitt Romney's rep as he campaigns to be selected president.
"Craig has endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the 2008 presidential race. The senator was named in February, along with Sen. Robert Bennett of Utah, as Romney's liaison to build support among GOP senators.
Monday night, Romney's presidential campaign announced Craig was stepping down.
"He didn't want to be a distraction, and we accept his decision," the Romney campaign said in a statement. Access to a YouTube video in which Craig praised Romney was also blocked."

I asked my husband the same question this morning. Why are repubs the ones doing these things? He and I decided they hide behind the repub, family values BS and think no one will find out what they're doing.
Shakespeare nailed it with "methinks she doth protest too much". It seems the more indignant, outraged and righteous these gasbags are the more they have to hide.
Repugs really got their heads in the clouds during the past 25 years, ever since Reagan and Bush knocked the left down and kicked it into submission, and Clinton did nothing to change any of it.
Anyho, my point is, I suspect that many repugs have become overly convinced that they are like supermen and immune to accountability for many otherwise criminal activities.
We've seen them exposed for all kinds of crimes, and perverse sexual behavior in public is just the tip of the iceberg.
When all they have to do is claim the "devil made them do it" and seek forgiveness in the form of large monetary contributions to xtian evangelists, they must not worry too much.

Indeed Nick, one would expect him to go the alcoholic ploy, while embracing jayzus to purge all those perceived character blemishes and voila, mr. potty sex is now a completely different and unimpeachable fellow.
