Never mind that the US was deeply involved with Israel in planning the calculated savagery. Forget that the pretend diplomacy was meant to give the zionists plenty of time to finish obliterating Lebanon's infrastructure, and vetoed a UN resolution condemninig their atrocities in Gaza. Don't bother with all that. Since now that the Israelis got their ass kicked militarily while the agenda for wider war is delayed, it's time to play Good Cop and put on a smiley face. However:

In the bizarro world of neo fascism they think we'll gloss over their crimes and they can play at being Great Humanitarians while they throw even more of our tax dollars at the smoking ruin they helped to create.
