The New Communists

Well it seems to be official. Our nascent fascists and their legion of brownshirted blowhards in the media have stopped equivocating and with no more hemming and hawing have anointed the mythical "Al Qaeda" as THE dreaded and hydra - like menace to everything that's good and decent in the world.

It was a long and tortuous segue to be sure, from the commie menace to the current Attack of the Swarthy Hordes, but agendas take time and the fascists are very patient indeed.

Those were giddy times for jingo interests back in the late 80s when unstable autocratic governments toppled all over Europe. Those were heady days when the Berlin Wall came down and the Sovit Union officially went extinct on Xmas day in 1991. Everybody rejoiced at the end of the dreaded Bolshevik menace, our cold war was over and we could finally relax after fifty plus years of tension. People back then actually talked about a thing called the "peace dividend" where we could spend money on butter instead of guns. Silly us.

The stage was already set to bring on a new and improved villain. Communists served their purpose as a reliable menace but our overlords saw that people would understand that Commie Potemkin village for what it really was in the new information age that was about to unfold. The Red Scare was always a bluff - That crude iron curtain, missile gap, domino theory crap was all made up scary talk and would easily be laughed at in time. What powerful interests needed to kick off the final stage of world takeover was a much more terrible and vicious enemy without borders - a seemingly omnipresent, fight to the death, lurking in the shadows assassin who could inspire intense visceral fear. A foe that would suddenly and without warning bring mass death and suffering because they hate our.. well just because.

So all through the eighties and nineties the ziofascists groomed their terror card. By using groups that were set up and supported by spook agencies they started to hijack air flights and cruise ships, assassinate people, blow things up and generally make the world a much more miserable place while implanting terror as a reality in the public consciousness. Just about all the mayhem was successfully blamed on middle eastern types so when the the fascists carried out 9/11 and within minutes were blaming Osama and his Al Qaeda, most people readily believed them. The myth was picked up immediately by all the corrupted media outlets and has been blared incessantly by blogging water carriers. Islamofascists indeed.

It seems we've gotten to a new stage in this Orwellian drama. Our overlords must have decided we've come to the point in this phony war where ALL opposition to their world takeover can be lumped together and branded just like the commie menace in the cold war. Back then any insurgency, fledgling democratic group or liberation movement was automatically labeled communist. Today all obstruction to fascism will be tagged as terror at home and Al Qaeda abroad. Glenn Greenwald:

"That the Bush administration, and specifically its military commanders, decided to begin using the term "Al Qaeda" to designate "anyone and everyone we fight against or kill in Iraq" is obvious. All of a sudden, every time one of the top military commanders describes our latest operations or quantifies how many we killed, the enemy is referred to, almost exclusively now, as "Al Qaeda."

But it's not just Iraq. News google Al Qaeda and they're literally everywhere - Philippines, Africa, Europe, everywhere. Like a switch being pulled, all of a sudden everybody who opposes the real US/Israel/Britain axis of weasels is AQ. It's the new and improved bogeyman to give the fascists a free ride to fulfill their agenda wet dream for complete control. I wouldn't be surprised if media brownshirts even tried to link Hugo Chavez in Venezuela with this nefarious menace.

Well waddya know.

got to have an enemy so as to scare up the megadollars. I hate these lies, these manipulations of the system to perpetuate war, death. These are evil people.

At least the USSR posed a substantial adversary with a real military machine, even if it was all exaggerated hype.

These so-called Al Qaeda "terrorist" types have no standing army of military machine whatsoever, and pose very little real substantial challenge on the battlefield.

The terrorists are nothing more than an elusive excuse spun along with exaggerated BS and hype to martial the dumbed-down public's support for the invasion and slaughtering of entire populations simply because they pose political opposition to the big pig tyrants that run the major energy corporations.
